INDIANA HORSE COUNCIL, INC.
COMMITTEE FOR EQUINE ASSISTED PROGRAMS
Compliance Criteria
In
order for an Indiana Equine Assisted
Program to be listed and promoted by the
Indiana Horse Council, the following
minimum criteria need to be maintained
annually:

The
operating center shall have at least
one nationally certified instructor
on site.

The
center shall have at least one AHA
registered therapist if providing
hippotherapy.
-
The
center shall maintain NARHA or
equivalent national or international
accreditation, or be working toward
that accreditation to the
satisfaction of the committee.

The
center shall be a registered
organization and shall be authorized
to do business in the state of
Indiana and operate within
prescribed guidelines as a
for-profit or non-profit entity.

The
center shall have a current
certificate of insurance to fulfill
their liability, property, and
vehicle responsibilities.

The
center shall assist in Hoosier Horse
Fair & Expo preparations,
demonstrations, or activities; or
other EAP events during each year.
-
The
center shall be an Indiana Horse
Council Association member.
-
The
center shall complete and return the
Center Information Form with an
authorized signature on the state of
compliance to the above listed
criteria.
