Ingrid Avery Schoenlein

I’m a Purdue University graduate of the School of Agriculture.  I’ve been on the School of Veterinary Medicine staff in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, my job as a Research Assistant for 20 years.  I have been on the Indiana Horse Council, Inc. board of directors for the last 3 years; I am chairman of the IHC Horse Show Development committee.  I’ve been a member of Indiana Hunter & Jumper Association for over 20 years and on the IHJA Board of Directors for the past 9 years, 2 years of those as IHJA President, participated in many IHJA committees, such as Annual Horse Show, Medal Finals, Election, and Rules.   I’m also a long time member of USEF, ITOBA, and IHC.  I’ve ridden and shown horses all my life, but for the last 20 years specializing in the Show Hunters on the local and A circuit.   I judge Hunter & Jumper horse shows throughout the year in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. 

Holiday W. Banta

Holiday Banta is a registered Patent Attorney and a partner in Indiana’s oldest and largest patent and trademark law firm, Woodard, Emhardt, Moriarty, McNett & Henry LLP, in Indianapolis.  She is Chair of the firm’s Trial Practice Group and specializes in litigation, representing clients in the enforcement and defense of patent, trademark, and other intellectual property actions.

Holly began her riding career in Knoxville, Tennessee with the Tennessee Valley Pony Club.  She is a Life Member of the U.S. Pony Club, and this year she was inducted into the USPC's Academy of Achievement.  She gained most of her horse experience as a Pony Clubber through riding and training others’ mounts, and she continues to have great fun catch-riding horses when she rides with the Traders Point Hunt, Indiana’s oldest MFHA-recognized hunt.  Since moving to Indiana, Holly has actively coached members of the White River Valley Pony Club and has volunteered her time to judge Horse Management for many Heartland Region eventing rallies and ratings.  She is a member of the Traders Point Hunt and helps raise money for the Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show, an AA-rated hunter and jumper show.  She also just finished a three-year term as President of the Indiana Eventing Association.  Her other equine memberships include the Carriage Association of America, the American Driving Society, and a life membership in the U.S. Eventing Association.  Holly’s most recent horse focus has been building her 150-acre dream farm, Wellington Defiance, which she is working to turn into a first-class competition venue for eventing and fox hunting.

Susan J. Moran

Originally, started out in hunter/jumpers as a child growing up in Barrington Hills,Illinois. Fox hunted with Fox River Valley and Southern Illinois Open Hunts as a Whipper-in.Was responsible for record keeping and the breeding of the fox hounds for the Southern Illinois Open Hunt. 

In the  mid 90’s was introduced to dressage ..and fell in love with it. Thus leaving the hunter/jumper world. Currently owns and competes 3 dressage mares…Thoroughbred, Dutchwarmblood and  Hanovarian. 

Was a National Technical Official for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the 2000 Sydney Olympics for the 3 day event. Was requested for the 2004 and 2008 games,but schedule did not allow. Has been a chief fence judge for over 25 years for the Kentucky Rolex 3-Day event in Lexington, Kentucky.  

Currently living in the Indianapolis area  working as a sales representative for food manufacturers. Susan is also a breeder of Irish Jack Russell Terriers (small…livable terriers.) for over 25 years.

Katie Teeters

Katie Teeters show experience started with a very successful  youth career as a member of the Indiana Jr. Quarter Horse Association and 10 years of 4-H with numerous Championships in Western Halter, Showmanship and Horsemanship.  She was also a National 4-H Congress winner in the Veterinary Science division and runner up in the Indiana Horse & Pony division.  Katie is also a 1979 graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science from the School of Agriculture.  Katie has also been a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the International Buckskin Horse Association.  Katie has been announcing horse shows since 1979.  She has announced for the Johnson County 4-H Horse and Pony Show, Valley Riders Saddle Club, the Indiana Quarter Horse Association,  the Eastern Classic Pony of America National Show and the American Miniature Horse Registry Show in Indiana.   Katie is also the chairperson of the Breed Demonstration at the Hoosier Horse Fair and Expo.
