Breed Demonstration and Stallion Row Requirements

IHC Membership: IHC membership is highly encouraged and those with membership will have first priority. The annual membership fee for each IHC affiliate is $75.00.

Advertising: Your equine will be advertised on the HHF&E/IHC website free.  The website ad will include picture and biography of your horse.  HHF&E Program advertising will be just $25.00, this 1/8 page ad will include a picture of your equine and short bio.  We will not advertise your breed in the program if you are not a member of IHC.  This is one of the many perks of becoming and IHC member.

Selection of Participants: Selection of participants and coordination of each organization’s presentation is the responsibility of the IHC member breed organizations’ representative as currently on record in the IHC office or in good standing with their breed organization and IHC.  All requests from individuals to exhibit equines must be coordinated with their appropriate IHC member breed organization. Indiana equines are preferred.  Only two equines of each breed will be exhibited.  Breeds with more than one affiliated organization must contact the other organizations to decide which two equine will represent the breed.  Stallions are prohibited to be stalled within or shown in the Breed Demonstrations.

Fees: The fee is $360.00 per stallion and $200.00 per breed which includes one (1) stall, a 10’ x 10’ hospitality area and two (2) admission badges.  Stall reservations, fees and scripts are due NO LATER than DECEMBER 1ST.  A $25.00 late fee will be assessed for all reservations, fees and/or scripts received after December 1st.

Scripts: Each equine must have a script with a maximum length of two minutes.  The typed, two-minute script is due no later than December 1st.  The script should include a brief description of the breed and information on each individual equine.  Because of the tight time schedule for the HHF&E, the HHF&E management will freely edit scripts exceeding the two-minute time limit.

Photo:  Each participant will be required to submit a current photograph of the equine participating electronically to be published in the HHF&E program.

Participation: All stallions must participate in the Parade of Stallions.

Stall Decorations and Awards:  All stalls must be decorated during the HHF&E.  There will be a Best Dressed Stall Award within Stallion Row and Breed Demo.
