Stacy Westfall
Great insight and effective teaching
style has made Stacy Westfall one of the most
sought-afterclinicians in the industry. She developed her natural
horsemanship
techniques while advancing her horses for reining
competition. Stacy is an AQHA
and NRHA Freestyle Reining
Champion.
Her goal in her training her reining
horses was to make the reins unnecessary — literally.
And she
succeeded, stunning the reining world by going undefeated for
two straight
years in major freestyle reining competitions.
Stacy’s highlight was winning twice
while riding bridle-less AND
bareback. Her famous 2006 Freestyle Championship
ride, seen by
millions on the internet, also lead to her appearance on the
Ellen
Degeneres show, in 2008.
Stacy is the only woman to have won the
Road to the Horse colt starting
competition. Her training
approach is proven, and it works.
As a wife, businesswoman and mother of
three young boys she continues to be
a top training clinician
and a winning competitor.
These days Stacy has one simple goal –to
inspire, and teach people how to
build a better relationship
with their horse. With her husband Jesse, she
offers clinics and
other educational tools to improve communication between
horse
and rider.
Just as a reminder, no videotaping is
allowed during this presentation.

Kelly
Kaminski
For the first half of this decade, Kelly
Kaminski was a dominant fixture in the sport of Barrel Racing.
Kaminski and her great horse Rocky (Rockem Sockem Go) qualified
for the Wrangler National
Finals 5 times, finishing as the
Reserve World Champion in 2002 and 2003 before breaking through
to claim back to back World Titles in 2004 and 2005.
Kelly was a school teacher who bought and
trained her first barrel racing horse on her own when
she was a
13 year old teenager.
Kelly retired Rocky in 2007, but she
hasn't slowed down. She's still competing today with her
next
generation of barrel horses, producing clinics all over the
country, doing media work, including
the radio commentary for
the NFR, plus homeschooling and helping her daughter, Kenna,
start her barrel racing career.

Scot Hansen
Scot
Hansen is a retired mounted police officer who trained officers
and horses, purchased remounts, and worked the streets. During
this time, he had the opportunity to ride horses in and around
obstacles that the average person never encounters. He has
ridden horses through difficult spots like railroad yards,
tunnels, freeways, bars, crowd control, stadiums, fireworks, and
under hovering helicopters. Besides his street work, Scot has
ridden horses from the beaches and ocean shores of California ,
to the mountains in Montana.
He
attended the San Jose Mounted Police School and the RCMP Riding
School in Ottawa, Ontario. He has participated in numerous
clinics and training with many of today’s top Natural
Horsemanship clinicians. He’s also participated in brandings,
team penning, trail riding, classical dressage, and packing.
This broad background gives Scot a vast working knowledge of
what it takes to have a horse perform in a variety of
disciplines and environments.
Scot
created a clinic and produced an award winning video "Self
Defense for Trail Riders." Based on questions from his clients
about safety on the trails, he developed the clinic and video
for trail riders who wanted to know how they could use their
horse to defend against a human predator on the trail. Numerous
articles about his work have been published in regional and
national newspapers and magazines, and he has made guest
appearances on radio and TV shows. He now performs his "Self
Defense for Trail Riders" and many other demonstrations at Horse
Expos throughout the nation.
Scot has
had many training and general horsemanship articles published
widely both in
print and on-line. His wide range of experience,
instruction, and practical use of horses
allows Scot to
effectively teach a wide array of horsemanship skills. Scot is
available
for demos and clinics worldwide.

Julie
Dillon
Julie was born in Opelousas,
Louisiana to parents completely perplexed that their baby
girl's
first word was "horse". Later, when the family moved to
Houston, Texas, Julie
traveled every school vacation back to the
bayou country. There she began her
life-long education in
natural horsemanship on the pony none of her cousins could ride.
As the rest of the kids had long given up on him, six year-old
Julie had her first back yard lessons while riding the socks off
of "Buddy."
Later, she married Matt Dillon and settled in Oklahoma.
While Matt's work took him all
over the world, the full time
duties of bring up their two daughters did not allow for
a
typical office job and so Julie split her time between volunteer
work at the schools
and riding with her children. Julie
quickly realized her joy was with teaching horseback
riding and
working with folks needing a little help with their trail and
pleasure mounts.
In 1988, after years of owning many
wonderful breeds of horses and teaching
western seat, Julie
bought her first Tennessee Walking Horse. At that point,
Julie
established HorseFeathers Academy and started building a
teaching program for
adults newly discovering the joy of gaited
horses. As a instructor and trail outfitter,
Julie began
incorporating Missouri Foxtrotters and Paso Finos into her herd
of "lesson
masters." Having the plains and foothills of
Oklahoma and the Ozarks of Arkansas as
her classroom, Julie has
worked with those wanting to learn all aspects of horsemanship
as well as camping and riding with their horses. Whether
it is a ride on the beach, fox hunt, field trial or show ring,
each student is taught and guided with respect to their own
special goals and dreams.
In 2001, Julie relocated
HorseFeathers Academy to the New England area where she
continues to teach, show and promote gaited riding. Each year
she appears with her horses at Equine Affaire in Springfield,
MA. Combining the classic elements of Dressage, Sally
Swift's Centered Riding and Balanced Seat techniques, Julie
utilizes a common horsesense approach and everyday language
blended with a dose of humor. Introducing beginners or
seasoned riders to the joy of naturally gaited pleasure horses
is the basis for her very special program.
