PAST FAIRS - Celebrating 30 years of Excellence!
The 2008 Hoosier Horse Fair and Expo
marked our 30th Anniversary! New to the HHF&E was the Hoosier
Ranch Rodeo Competition, bringing teams of cowboys in to compete in
events more like their regular duties on the working cattle ranches of
the West. The Cowboy Mounted Shooters again were a crowd-pleaser
as they performed in the Outdoor Arena and in the Pepsi Coliseum.
The Tempel Lippizans provided an elegant touch to this year's Horse
Fair. The Hoosier All-Star Classic Draft Horse competition
returned again and drew some of the biggest crowds of the entire
weekend. Celebrity Cutting was also popular. Clinicians
included Andy Marcoux; Chris and Melissa Jones f; Curt and Tammy Pate;
Linda Allen; Karen Scholl, Dave Davis; Jochen Hippenstiel and Carter
Riley. Rusty Rankins brought his Chuckwagon for western stories
and entertainment for the kids. And, the Mid America Cowgirls
Rodeo Drill Team performed. The trade show area was filled with
the latest in tack, clothing, trucks and trailers. It was a great
event to celebrate our 30 years!

2007 Hoosier Horse Fair and Expo
highlighted many national clinicians, Kay Meredith, Linda Allen, Stacy
Westfall, Dr. Tim Bartlett, Shawn Flarida. Rick Lamb was back to
broadcast his "The Horse Show" radio program from the HHF&E. With
the North American All-Star Hoosier Classic Draft Hitch Competition back
by popular demand, brought people from miles. We improved the
"Kids Corral" with a new dress up area and two new rocking horses and a
bull for the kids to ride. Many of the surrounding State Horse
Council's visited us for a grand tour of our event.

The 2006 Hoosier Horse Fair and Expo was
highlighted by several to-notch clinics, lead by industry experts like
Van Hargis, Craig Cameron, Robin Gollehon and Eric Horgan. Rick
Lamb was on hand to broadcast his "The Horse Show" radio program right
from the Hoosier Horse Fair. The "Kids Corral" is always popular,
with many activities like coloring, face painting, pony rides and more
for the young horse set. The trade show was packed as always with
anything the horseman would need all under one roof.

The 2005 Hoosier Horse Fair and Expo
welcomed Indiana's new Lt. Governor, Becky Skillman, who attended the
first night of the Fair and even rode on the Great American Clydesdales hitch. As
the Indiana Lt. Governor is responsible for agriculture policy, her
attendance shows the increased profile the equine industry in Indiana
occupies. We also had an impressive list of clinicians again this
year, including Dennis Reis, Van Hargis, Patty Campbell, Nicole Carswell,
Linda Black, Mary Ruth Marks, Linda Little Wolf, Jimmy Driver, Eric
Horgan, Terry Myers, Ed Chambers, Jerry Munns and Brad Cameron.
Another highlight was the first of what will be an annual event, the
Fashion and Style show featuring outfits for today's equine competitor
as well as vintage reproductions of classic frontier fashions.
And, DeWayne Spaw entertained the crowds with his country music show
direct from Nashville.
